It is hard to believe that 9 months have passed since I had a baby! It has been a wild 9 months filled with happiness, tears, joy, sadness and A LOT of laughter. Being a new mother has been one of the biggest life lessons I have learned and I am excited to continue growing and learning!
In order to keep my sanity, I have to have routine in my life! Starting my morning off on a good foot sets the tone for the entire day! When the morning run smoothly, everything else falls into place (most times!).
After pregnancy your body is on a hormonal roller coster where any and everything can change from day to day. My hair was flourishing when I was pregnant. I had the pregnancy glow from head to toe. After I had my son, I just knew my hair would continue to do what it was doing and I thought I was one of the lucky ones who escaped the dreaded postpartum hair loss I had been hearing so much about. I am guilty of the “super woman” complex thinking I need to do it all. I quickly learned I can’t. I can’t do laundry, breastfeed, clean the kitchen, write blogs, run a business, create content and have dinner ready. I am very Type A and like things to go a certain way. I am about to be brutally honest. I poled this week for the first time in almost 6 months. That $h!t was HARD. Like... really hard. I prayed for you for years. In my conversations with God I went back and forth from hopeful to doubtful as I hit my 30’s. There are so many advantages to start reading to your little one at a young age. Not only do children absorb all the information their little minds can handle, they are also highly influenced by what is in front of them.
