Hey Fam!
I am Dalijah, a midwest girl from Warren Ohio. New York City has been my home the past 12 years. I am a Dancer, Anatomy Nerd, Lifestyle Blogger, Entrepreneur, and Obsessive Life Giver. Movement is my life and has been a part of me for as long as I can remember. Graduate of The Ohio State University, GO BUCKS and living in NYC, I stumbled across a Pole dancing class 12 years ago and my life has never been the same! I am a pole instructor and coach, competitive pole dancer and creator. 12 years of pole has not only built my body physically but also built my confidence in myself as a woman.
No dream is too big!
If you would have told me 10 years ago I would be traveling the world teaching pole dancing, I would have laughed in your face! I became an entrepreneur in 2014 when I created Black Girls Pole. Black Girls Pole is a Global movement diversifying the pole and aerial community by inspiring, motivating and educating women of color about Pole Dancing. Being a business owner has changed my life. Once the vision of BGP came to me, I never looked back! I have a passion for inspiring women of color to live their best lives, show up for themselves, and celebrate sisterhood with each other. This business has introduced me to so many beautiful faces as well as taken me around the world for the BGP yearly retreats.
Obsessive Life Giver
What gets me going…Giving life! Once I discovered how big my voice was, I became obsessed with unleashing my power and sharing it with others. I love teaching and I love learning. Teaching women to feel confident and strong is one of the best joys I have experienced. If you fast forward to my life in 65 years, I will be like the old ballet teacher in the chair with the stick, still teaching and yelling “You can do this” to my students!
